"Alright" She said and walked beside him to his car. A small blush crossed her face when he held her hand but it was nice. Once there, she climbed into the passenger side. "And yeah, that would be. Just a little."

Kyle nodded at that, turning the car on. "You don't want to see me high on that stuff." He said, starting to drive toward the hospital. "It isn't pretty. I know that much for sure." He laughed at the idea.

She didn't want to see anyone high on that type of stuff, but imagining Kyle in that type of situation, well, it made her smile and shake her head. "I can only imagine."

Kyle nodded. "It's terrible." He said, then went quiet for a few minutes. "How welldo you know Johnathan?" He asked, looking at her, then outside. He sighed. "He's the closest thing to a real father I've had. At least, a real father that cares about me."

"Ah he's a really good friend. Helped me out a lot of times." She said and looked over at Kyle. "He really is a good fatherly figure." Her own father had been in a bad car accident and died in the vehicle.

Kyle nodded. "There's a reason he made it to be chief." He said. "He cared for other people. He saved the good people, and even the bad people." He sighed and shook his head. "I wish he had been my real father, or someone like him would have been.:

Sara had heard stories about Kyle's father, and each one chilled her to the bone. Ho whe had managed to survive was beyond her. "I'm sorry" Sara said and looked over at Kyle.

Kyle sighed. "I survived, watching those cop shows and thinking one day they would come help me like they did all those other people. Or that they'd come like the animal cops came for the animals. It never happened." He shook his head. "Once, the police did get involved. Johnathan did. He was a little younger, looked a lot younger... he was determined to prove my dad guilty, but I was too young to talk in court, and my dad, for a drunk, was a good talker."

Sara didn't know what to say. She lived a content life with her father, who played both the role of a father and a mother.

"Johnathan tried everything he possibly could until he was told he wasn't allowed to continue the case." Kyle said. "It all made Johnathan look like he was crazy. An idiot just looking for the fame of solving a child abuse case." He shook his head. "My father was a good liar, and though Johnathan was stubborn, he lost."

"It sounds like something Johnathan would do." Sara said then added "Risk his job to save someone. I worked with him on a tough case."

Kyle nodded at that. "He hasn't changed very much." He said. "He even... did a few hings he shouldn't have to try and prove he was right. Nobody found out, and I kept it secret." He sighed. "And he still does favors for me that really aren't the most... liked things. Like letting me eavesdrop on conversations he is in that I wasn't meant to hear." He then looked at her again. "What case?"

At the word eavesdrop Sara looked over and smirked. "This man had tortured then abandoned an elderly cat and then ran off when he found out we were after him. It took us nearly a month to find him. In that time the cat had died." Sara paused. "

Kyle nodded. "Did he get jail time?" He asked, looking over at her, then outside. "I think Johnathan is a great cop... I don't think he ever completely gives up... inside at least. Sometimes it can get annoying with small things, but with cases like that... I'd be glad to have his help."

"He got a couple of years. Apparently he did some other things while he was on the run" Sara said and nodded in agreement. "I think a lot of people would be glad to have his help."
