Johnathan sighed. "We just have to find the guy." He looked at the vet, then Felix. "He'll live though, right?" He asked, stroking the cat softly. "He doesn't deserve to die because of some cruel idiot." He closed his eyes, silent after that. He wasn't sure how things would go with this case, but he was determined to get the guy in jail.

"For right now he has a fifty percent chance that he'll make it through the night." The vet said, and sighed. "Who know what sort of brain damage he's suffered."
A fifty percent chance to live? It could go either way, but that didn't help the loathing of the person who did this to the poor cat. "No, he doesn't" She said to Johnathan.

Johnathan sighed. He looked at the cat, petting him more. "Whatever happens, this man will be sorry he ever touched this animal." He muttered, not looking at either, just petting Felix. If his plans went through, Johnathan would sta with the cat over night, trying to comfort him in what could be his last moments. He would start his full investigation tomorrow.

After a moment longer in the room, Sara finally spoke again. "I'm going to start on the case report." She said, knowing that it was best to start on it now then later. "Radio me if anything happens or something pops up. I'll do the same." With that she left the room.
Felix purred a little, before yawning. It was a rough day, and all he really wanted to do was sleep.

Johnathan looked up at Sara. "Alright." He said. "And I'm not going much of anywhere, so if you need me, I'm here." He told her, then looked back at Felix, scratching under his chin as he watched the cat.

-magical time jump-
It was a relief to hear that the cat had made it through the night, and even drank on his own. As of yet, no one stepped forth to claim the cat, but it hadn't even been twenty-four hours as of yet. Sara stuck around the lobby for most of the morning catching a few snippets of small conversations and reports, but nothing majorly important.

Johnathan, as planned, had sat in a room with the cat almost all night. As of now though, he had let the cat sleep in a cage. He yawned, walking out into the lobby, finding Sara. "Hey... Find anything new...?" He asked, scratching the back of his neck. He probably looked as tired as he was.
